Hi, I'm Melissa, the hands behind Siren jewels® Every piece in this shop is designed and hand-forged in my home studio in Olympia, Washington, using solid sterling silver, 14k gold-fill, and ethically sourced gemstones. No mass production, no plated metals, no shortcuts, just heirloom-quality jewelry made to be worn every day and passed down. I'm inspired by mythology, architecture, and the quiet beauty of the Pacific Northwest. As a 1st-degree Reiki initiate, I clear all my gemstones and imbue them with positive energy before I set them into the pieces I create. I hope you feel their love and beautiful energy too. A bit of history ~ I grew up in upstate NY, Albany, Saratoga area. There is a little town in the center called Burnt hills.
I've always been in love with jewelry. As a little girl, it was always a treat when my mother opened her soft, blue flannel lined jewelry box and let me try everything on. The smell. The beauty. The mystery. It was a magical place and everything had a story...
After earning my degree in graphic design, I felt unfulfilled. On whim, I decided to go explore the west and landed in San Francisco. I explored different mediums and found a metalworking class that sparked my interest and creativity. I instantly fell in love with the process of forming and fabricating metal. I also loved learning about the properties of gemstones. I have been creating jewelry and building my business ever since. I'm inspired by mythology, architecture, the splendor and beauty of nature with all its graceful form and energy.
I now live in PNW (Olympia WA) with my two amazing adult children Xen and Sofia, Our two fur babes, Onyx + Benny. My son helps me with social media, my daughter models my work from time to time. We work from my home studio.
